Heavy-Duty Construction: Modern bags are typically made from 1000 Denier Cordura® nylon, which is highly resistant to abrasion, tearing, and scuffs. The material is also water-resistant, protecting the contents from light rain and moisture. Older vintage models were made from a heavy cotton duck canvas.

I purchased the fire kit a few weeks ago to throw in my backpack and have been really impressed. The ferro rod and striker work amazingly well, it throws sparks far better than my store-bought Coghlan’s Magnesium Fire Starter. The included wick and bellows are a great touch. once you fluff the fibers a bit it lights up easily and maintains a flame . i will supplement some of my own tinder to store in tin for later as the "tipi" is only single use
