The U.S. Military Improved Duffel Bag, often referred to as the IDB, is the standard-issue duffel for the U.S. Armed Forces. It represents a significant upgrade from the older, traditional top-loading "sea bag." Key Features
Backpack Straps: The most significant improvement over the old design. The bag features two padded, adjustable shoulder straps, allowing it to be carried like a backpack for hands-free transport over longer distances.
Multiple Carry Handles: In addition to the backpack straps, the bag is equipped with four handles: two nylon web handles that meet in the middle for a traditional suitcase-style carry, and a grab handle at each end for easily pulling it from a vehicle or pile of gear.
